Italy has always been a synonym for good food. Even Italian language is characterized by fun food-related idioms. Pay attention please to this amusing expression:
Sei sempre in mezzo come il prezzemolo!”. Its literal translation is “You are always in the way like parsley!“. It deals with the common use of parsley in Italian recipes. In other words “Sei sempre in mezzo come il prezzemolo” is an euphemism to say that you mingle in things that are not your own, you are always in the way…

    I like this! Also “buona come il pane” (good like the bread) to say someone has a good heart.
