Antonio De Curtis, universally known as Totò, has been one of the most important Italian actors (cinema and theatre), lyricist, poet, singer, songwriter, screenwriter and playwright.
Toto', compared to big personalities like Charlie Chaplin, managed to improvise and to shape the personality of his characters, to create situation and to invent superb jokes that have been very popular catchphrases.
