The biggest green wall in Italy

The genial intuition of the hanging gardens of Babylon takes form, nowadays, in green walls having both decorative and environmental significance. A green wall, essentially a composition of different kinds of vegetation cultivated on a wall, can be external or internal and is often a true work of art.

They’re also called vertical walls or bio walls: besides the (important) aesthetic factor, they also help to reduce heat loss, improving the thermal insulation. Bio walls environmentally friendly, nice to see, energy savers are a great solution both for citizens and for the environment.

This, I’m sure, must have thought the architect F. Bollani, who has created the biggest green wall in Italy, giving a green heart to the Shopping Center “Fiordaliso” with about 44,000 seedlings of 200 different species covering about 1,250 mq.

If you are curious to see it personally, go to Rozzano (Milan) and let you be amazed!
