Florenz: Eine ganz besondere Tour mit David (Michelangelo)

Es steht wohl völlig außer Zweifel, dass Florenz mit ihrer unendlichen Anzahl an eindrucksvollen Kirchen, Museen und tausenden von Kunstwerken unter freiem Himmel die Kunststadt par excellence ist. Diese alle zu besuchen, würde bedeuten, dass Sie sich ein ganzes Jahr für Florenz freimachen können!

Unser Ausgangspunkt ist die Piazza della Signoria, der wichtigste Platz der Stadt, wo David ursprünglich als Wahrzeichen der Republik Florenz aufgestellt wurde, stark und siegreich gegen die Feinde, den Blick nach Rom gerichtet. Bewundern Sie seine Schönheit und bereiten Sie sich darauf vor, ihn mit seinem Original zu vergleichen. 1873 zog David in die Galleria dell'Accademia um, die zweite Etappe unserer Tour.

Während wir uns in Richtung Norden der Stadt aufmachen, werden hunderte von kleinen Davids Schlange stehen (die Sie sich nicht entgehen lassen sollten), weshalb die Zeit bis zum Zusammentreffen mit dem wahren David noch etwas hinaufgeschoben wird.

Dieses lang erwartete Zusammentreffen findet dann in der Galleria dell'Accademia statt, wo Sie das Ideal der männlichen Schönheit in der Kunst bewundern können, meisterlich herausgearbeitet aus einem einzigen Block Marmor durch Michelangelo.

Die Idee des Davids als Schönheitsideal war nicht allen Künstlern gemein: Gehen wir doch ins Bargello-Museum, also wieder zurück ins Stadtzentrum und vergleichen wir die Arbeit von Michelangelo mit derjenigen von Donatello und Verricchio.

Für die letzte Etappe der David-Tour müssen Sie den Arno überqueren (nicht zu schnell: nehmen Sie sich die Zeit, um diese Stadt in sich aufzunehmen) bis zur Piazzale Michelangelo, diesem dem Künstler gewidmeten Platz.

Our departure point is in Piazza della Signoria, the main square of the city , where the David was originally placed as a symbol of the Florentine Republic, strong and victorious against the enemies, his gaze turned towards Rome. Admire its beauty and be ready to compare it with the original one. In 1873, the David was moved to the Accademia Gallery: it is the second leg of our tour.
While moving towards the north of the city, hundreds of little Davids will crowd the stands (that definitely worth your attention!), extending the wait until the encounter with the true David.
This long-awaited meeting will take place in the Accademia Gallery, where you will admire the perfect ideal of male beauty in art, carved from a single block of marble by the skill of Michelangelo.
The idea of David as a beauty ideal was not common to all artists: let’s move to the Bargello Museum, going back towards the center of the city, to compare the work of Michelangelo to the ones of Donatello and Verricchio.
In order to reach the last leg of the David-tour you need to cross the Arno river (not so fast: take your time to enjoy the views!) until Piazzale Michelangelo, the square dedicated to the artist.
