Location

Located in Grisolia, on the Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, the resort is an excellent starting point for exploring the region's beaches and landscapes, including the renowned Riviera dei Cedri and the charming historic centre of Diamante, famous for its murals and local gastronomic traditions. The nearest airport is Lamezia Terme, approximately 110 km away.

Hotel

Valtur Calabria Il Cormorano Resort is designed for the relaxation of families and sea lovers, with spacious outdoor areas, a large swimming pool and a green area. It consists of a main body where part of the rooms and all the services are located, and an adjacent body housing the rest of the rooms.
It offers three restaurants, including a central restaurant with buffet service, a themed restaurant on the beach and an all-day snack and bar area. The resort also has a theatre for evening shows and wellness and sports areas.

Pets are not allowed. 

Rooms

The hotel’s 196 rooms are welcoming and functional, designed to ensure a comfortable stay for every type of guest. All rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, individually controlled air conditioning, telephone, TV, safe, and mini fridge with a complimentary non-alcoholic first supply (2 bottles of water and 2 cans).

The accommodations are divided into different types, distributed among the main building, adjacent areas, and a newly opened building with 60 brand-new rooms.

Classic: Located in the main building and one of the adjacent wings, these rooms can accommodate up to 4 guests. Some have a bunk bed for the 3rd and 4th beds, others enjoy a pool view (only doubles, with a supplement), while some units have no balcony (reduction and bunk beds apply).

Family: Spacious family rooms situated in the wing next to the main building. They can host up to 6 guests and include an entrance with a double sofa bed, one bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed. All have a balcony or terrace overlooking the hills.

Superior Pool View: Recently renovated, these elegant and bright rooms are perfect for guests seeking extra comfort. They accommodate up to 4 people and feature a furnished balcony overlooking the pool. Guests choosing this room enjoy: 1 free spa entrance per person (wet area, from age 16); bathrobe and slippers set; beach towels with daily change; 2 bottles of water per day.

Comfort Family Pool View: Recently renovated and located on the ground floor of the main building, this room offers two separate spaces, two bathrooms, and a balcony with pool view. Accommodates up to 5 people.

Suite: An exclusive option for two guests. Features include a single indoor whirlpool tub, an outdoor Jacuzzi mini pool for four, an open bathroom with hydromassage shower, and dual TVs.

Junior Suite: Located in the new wing of the hotel, these are large and modern double rooms with an entry area and a furnished balcony.

Deluxe: Also located in the new building, these rooms accommodate up to 4 guests. They feature tasteful contemporary decor and all have furnished balconies.

Infant 0/1.99 years old is free of charge in bed with parents. The cot is optional (to be requested at the time of booking) and costs € 10.00 per night to be paid locally (maximum 1 cot per room).

Beach

The private lido, exclusive to resort guests, is located approximately 500 metres from the resort, on a beautiful sand and pebble beach. Fully equipped, it offers beach umbrellas and sunbeds for maximum comfort, as well as a kiosk bar and a restaurant with buffet service, to enjoy light, fresh lunches right by the sea. Guests can reach the lido comfortably on foot, via a convenient road subway, or by shuttle train operating continuously from 8:00 to 19:30. The lido is also equipped with a Job chair, to allow easy access even for guests with mobility difficulties.
The Club Card includes a reserved spot on the beach for the entire duration of your stay with 1 beach umbrella and 2 sun beds and/or deckchairs per room starting from the third row; the first two rows are available on request for a fee.
It is possible to hire beach towels at a cost of € 3 per day.

Wellness Centre

The resort's Wellness Centre offers a break of pure relaxation with a selection of massages, facial and body treatments, sauna, Turkish bath, emotional shower and Jacuzzi, ideal for regenerating body and mind.

Sports

Sports enthusiasts will find tennis, padel and five-a-side football courts, as well as a fitness area. A wide variety of activities are also available, including yoga, water aerobics and sports tournaments. In the evenings, guests can relax with live shows and theme evenings.

Team Valturland dedicates attention and activities to every age group, to give young guests an unforgettable stay: Mini Club 3-6 years, Kids Club 7-10 years, Young Club 11-13 years.
With a varied and ever-changing programme, young guests will be involved in beach games, treasure hunts, five-a-side football tournaments, princess days, art workshops, adventures under the stars in tents and dance evenings. Each activity is designed to keep them entertained and growing in a safe and engaging environment.

For 14-17 year olds, the Tribe Club is the space dedicated to unique experiences and engaging activities. Exclusive parties, theme parties and interactive workshops will introduce them to the worlds of radio, cinema, music and social media, allowing them to explore new passions. Among the unmissable proposals: Cinema by Night, to experience the magic of cinema in the open air; days of tournaments and team sports; and the Tribalika evening, where rhythm and energy come together in a dancing party with ethnic suggestions. The nursery, adjacent to the main restaurant, equipped with a bottle warmer, microwave, refrigerator, mixer and steriliser, is perfect for the needs of the little ones. The service includes fresh fruit, baby biscuits, baby food, fresh milk, vegetable broth and baby food, with staff available during meal times.

For children aged 12 months to under 3 years, a fully equipped nursery will be available, managed by qualified staff and operating during set hours in both the morning and afternoon.
The service is optional, subject to availability, and requires an additional fee.

Restaurant

The main restaurant welcomes guests with an elegant buffet service and reserved table for the duration of their stay, guaranteeing a comfortable and cosy atmosphere. There is a dedicated area for younger guests, who can have lunch and dinner with the Valturland team. During the week, guests are invited to discover local flavours with a typical dinner and an elegant evening, which will enrich the culinary experience.

Starting from the 2026 season, the main restaurant will feature two distinct areas: an air-conditioned indoor dining room and a charming covered courtyard overlooking a garden, without air conditioning.
Access to the air-conditioned room will be available by reservation only, subject to availability. No additional charge applies.

The Spiaggia restaurant is open for lunch upon reservation and offers a set menu buffet with drinks on tap, to enjoy fresh and tasty dishes with a sea view.
For those who like to wake up at a leisurely pace, there is the Late Coffee corner with a soft breakfast from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the bar, where you can enjoy an espresso and fragrant croissants.
For guests with special dietary requirements, packaged gluten- and lactose-free products are available, including bread, pasta, biscuits and ice cream. Personal packaged goods can be brought in on request.

All Inclusive Formula
The All Inclusive formula includes full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main restaurant, including pizza served at dinner and drinks on tap (water, soft drinks, beer and wine). Guests can also book lunch at the beach restaurant, with a set menu buffet and drinks included. Express coffee is available at breakfast. An open bar with soft drinks on tap, beer, iced tea, slushies and a selection of alcoholic beverages (a local bitter and a citron liqueur), as well as ice cream and savoury snacks, is available at the pool bar from 10:00 to 01:00 and at the beach bar (according to opening hours). For a special aperitif, the ‘Aperitime’ at the pool bar awaits you every evening from 19:00 to 19:30.
Alcoholic beverages not included, wines and canned or bottled drinks, packaged ice cream and all packaged products are available at an extra charge.

The All Inclusive package begins with dinner on the day of arrival and ends with lunch on the day of departure.

Services and Activities 

The resort offers a wide range of services to ensure comfort and entertainment throughout your stay. Two restaurants and four bars - including a lobby bar, an evening American bar with musical entertainment, a poolside bar and a beach bar - welcome guests in elegant and relaxing surroundings. There are three swimming pools, one of which is dedicated to children in the Miniclub, and numerous sports options, including tennis and padel courts, a multi-purpose synthetic court, beach volleyball, beach tennis, archery, table tennis and a nautical centre equipped with canoes, sailing, windsurfing, SUP, pedal boats and bicycles. The Technogym fitness area is perfect for those who want to work out, while the little ones can have fun in the dedicated play area. The resort also has an enclosed car park and offers a convenient free transfer service to/from the Scalea and Diamante train stations. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, including the beach area.

For an even more comfortable experience, guests can enjoy extra services such as a hairdresser, boutique and bazaar with tobacco and newspapers, laundry and medical service on request. An E-Station for charging electric cars is also available.
For those wishing to explore the surroundings, the resort is located close to outside services such as horse riding, rafting, water skiing, paragliding, trekking, diving and boat and car rental. A supermarket, pharmacy and various shops are about 1 km away.
