Castrum is located in Castelrotto, a medieval hamlet perched atop the central hill of the Valpolicella Classica. Its privileged position offers breathtaking views over the valley and the Lessinia mountains. The Wine Relais is housed within the historic Villa Fraccaroli, an elegant 18th-century residence that was once home to renowned sculptor Innocenzo Fraccaroli, also known as the "Canova of Verona". The estate covers 10,000 square metres and includes a panoramic terrace, a wine cellar, a bistro and a small olive grove. The property blends the charm of history with artistic flair, transforming each space into a tribute to Fraccaroli’s legacy, from the bottle labels to the villa’s decorative details.

Rooms
The twelve rooms and suites are spread across the main building and the two floors of Casa Fraccaroli. Renovated between 2022 and 2023, they combine comfort and elegance with subtle references to the local winemaking heritage. The decor pays homage to the seasons of the vineyard, with curated photography and artistic accents. All accommodations feature smart TVs, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a minibar, a coffee/tea machine, a queen-size bed, a safe, and Rituals toiletries.

Wine Bar Bistrò
Castrum’s Wine Bar & Bistrò is a unique concept that fuses the charm of an Italian piazza with the style of a contemporary urban lounge. Renovated in 2021, it has quickly become a favourite among locals and visitors. Guests can enjoy creative tapas, signature platters, elegant cocktails, Amarone, fresh fruit drinks, and live music events in a refined yet relaxed setting.
