Marenea Suite Hotel

Location

The Marenea Suite Hotel stands on the eastern Salento coast, close to the ancient and enchanting small town of Castro, on one of the most beautiful panoramic cliffs in Apulia. It is an ideal destination for a fun and relaxing seaside holiday, but also for discovering the area’s fascinating history and traditions.

The 5-star Hotel is just 300 m from the stunning Acquaviva cove, 4 km from the Aragonese Castle of Castro and the enchanting Zinzulusa caves, 5 km from the thermal springs of Santa Cesarea, about 25 km from Leuca and Otranto, less than 50 km from Lecce and Gallipoli and about 100 km from Brindisi airport. 

Hotel 

Surrounded by olive trees and terraced dry-stone walls and set in the green woods of the nature park of Marina di Marittima, the Marenea Suite Hotel enjoys a splendid sea view from the terraces of its suites, the swimming pools and the restaurant, overlooking a spectacular rugged coastline interspersed with small coves. 

Rooms 

All rooms have an independent entrance with furnished patio and are grouped in blocks set between the lush Mediterranean vegetation and the sea. They are all located on the mezzanine floor and are accessible via a few steps. All rooms have ensuite bathroom, mostly with walk-in shower, while a few have a bathtub (one Suite and three Deluxe Suites). 

Upon arrival, it is compulsory to show documents proving the date of birth of children and infants. If this is not done, the reduction will not be granted. Ages are defined as years of age at the time of arrival at the hotel.

Beach 

The hotel commands a panoramic position on the coast of Acquaviva. Down from the hotel, just 300 m to the left is Cala Acquaviva, an enchanting narrow cove with freshwater springs.

To the right, also at about 300 m from the hotel, there is a seaside concession, the Lido Ficò (open from 01/06 to the end of september). The lido is equipped with wooden platforms on the rocky coast, plus umbrellas and sunbeds on the lawn, between the pine forest and the sea. Convenient steps make it easy to get into the water.

Beach service upon reservation, for a fee: one sun umbrella and two sunbeds € 30 in june and september, € 35 in july and august.

Sport 

The hotel has a fitness area; in addition, several outdoor activities and tours are available for discovering the beautiful local area: horseback riding, trekking and various excursions (offered by local partners).

Restaurant 

The Marenea Suite Hotel has an exclusive à la carte restaurant, ‘La Terrazza sul mare’; here the chef proposes traditional Salento dishes using seasonal local produce, accompanied by a rich selection of wines. The restaurant enjoys a charming sea view and offers vegetarian and vegan options as well as ( on request) basic products for coeliacs.

The breakfast buffet is available from 7.30 am to 11.30 am.  

Services & Activities

Guests have free use of the two swimming pools with gazebo and sunbeds, bicycles (on request), the fitness area set in the olive grove park, the playground, baby cot (on request at the time of booking) and private parking.

There is also porter service and concierge service. Services available for a fee include massages in a relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by nature and silence, yoga and fitness classes, and cooking classes.

Small dogs allowed, only in Standard and Superior rooms, with prior booking and with a charge of €70.00 for final cleaning.

Check-in from 15.00 and check-out by 11.00. Reception is open round the clock.
