Weddings are still rich of old habits and traditions. In Italy the “taglio della cravatta“, literally translated as “the cutting of tie “, is one of the oddest one. This custom consists of cutting the groom’s tie into multiple pieces by some male friends of the couple. The reason why, a very expensive tie is crumbled, is raising money for the honeymoon or other costs (such as the same tie coast!) associated with the wedding extravaganza.
