Location

The Locanda del Carrubo 5* is located in the Gulf of Manfredonia, on the Gargano, and enjoys an extraordinary position on a cliff overlooking the sea. The centre of Mattinata is about 5 km away and the port of Mattinata is 5 minutes by car from the hotel (2.7 km).

In less than an hour you can reach the Gargano National Park, a protected area that includes a rocky coast, marshes, beech woods and valleys full of flowers.

In a short time, from the hotel La Locanda del Carrubo 5*, you can reach other beautiful places of the Gargano such as Vieste, about 50m by car (about 36,8 Km), Peschici 1h11 m (about 51,9 Km) and San Giovanni Rotondo at 41 m (42,7 Km).

The nearest airport is Bari at 146 Km (1h41 m by car). Brindisi airport is 265 km (2h50m) away.

Hotel

The all-white structure of the small luxury boutique hotel La Locanda del Carrubo 5* hides inside a very welcoming environment, skillfully furnished with period furniture, fine woods and materials and some references to the Middle Eastern style. It is divided into three separate blocks in which there are the rooms (2 blocks) and the central body, which houses the reception, the restaurant, the bar and the lobby. The splendid setting of the hotel is given by the greenery of the mountain in which it is set and the large outdoor spaces characterized by English lawns and native plants.

Situated on top of a cliff on the Gulf of Manfredonia, the hotel boasts a unique position and enjoys a beautiful panoramic sea view.

It has two outdoor swimming pools: one semi-Olympic freshwater pool and one with half-salted water and two whirlpools, one indoor and one outdoor. At the wellness center of the hotel there is another small heated indoor pool.

Rooms

The 11 rooms of La Locanda del Carrubo 5* are spacious, very welcoming and elegant thanks to the furnishings with period furniture and bedspreads, soft and pastel colors in line with the style of the structure. The rooms are divided into: nr. 1 suite with a small heated swimming pool in the room, nr. 3 junior suites of which 2 with two areas, 1 with an open space and Jacuzzi, nr. 7 deluxe with sea view or mountain view. Only in some of the rooms it is possible to have separate beds whereas it is possible to add a third bed or a cot (with supplement) in all rooms.

The rooms can be on the ground floor (including some junior suites) or on the mezzanine floor (the suite is on the mezzanine floor). The rooms that are equipped with a Jacuzzi are 3 and, in addition, the Suite offers a small heated swimming pool in the room.

The room rate includes: bathroom with shower (Etrò's courtesy line), hairdryer, safe, mini bar, air conditioning, WI-FI, kettle for water, telephone and satellite TV, continental buffet breakfast, parking. Access to the wellness path is included for all types of rooms (except special treatments): small heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath, salt cabin, fitness and herbal tea.

Beach

The hotel La Locanda del Carrubo 5* does not have a private beach on site but guests can use the beach service (a sun umbrella and deckchairs) of the hotel La Casa e il Mare, part of the same property, which is about 3.5 km away. To reach the beach of large smooth pebbles and some rocky parts, Guests have at their disposal a shuttle service included in the price. On the beach of La Casa e il Mare there is also a shower.

A few minutes by car there are other beaches worth visiting: Mattinatella beach with pebbles (approx. 7 Km); Mixed sand and pebble beach of Baia dei Mergoli or Baia delle Zagare with the famous Faraglioni (12 Km); Mixed sand and pebble beach of Vignanotica (approx. 18 Km); Pebble beach of Pugnochiuso (27 Km); Pebble beach Baia dei Campi (26,3 Km); Sandy beach of Portonuovo (31,7 Km).

Wellness Centre

The wellness center of the hotel offers a space of 500 square meters to relax and at the same time to recharge and regain the energy we need.

Inside the SPA there is a small indoor heated seawater pool, Jacuzzi for 8 people, sauna and Turkish bath, salt grotto with micronized Dead Sea Salt treatment, Thalassa indoor pool, oriental massage cabin with chromo therapy and conventional massage cabin, outdoor veranda with sea view, relaxation area and herbal tea room.

Restaurant

The restaurant of the Hotel La Locanda del Carrubo 5* delights its guests with excellent traditional dishes made modern by a skillful reinterpretation and innovation. The success of the dishes is also due to the fact that the chef uses only the best raw materials, all strictly zero kilometer, of which Apulia is very generous. The different courses are accompanied by a wide selection of wines.

Meals are served both outdoors, on the sea view terrace, and in the indoor dining room.

The abundant and genuine breakfast with buffet service offers a selection of sweet and savoury dishes, including local products.

The kitchen also offers dishes for celiacs and vegetarians both for breakfast and lunch and dinner.
